Just yesterday I received the cover and love it no end. And as you meet Belial and Adhemar on the painting, it’s only fair that the excerpt is about them as well.
Belial slowly navigated his way toward the vampire’s table. After all he had to look as if he had been seduced by that clouded sensual gaze and his mind had been wrapped in the thin but smothering veil of the young immortal’s influence. As for the seduction… yes, the raven-haired beaut was indeed very captivating but it had been him who had decided to listen to the call. As for the hypnotic influence… nothing could be farther from the truth but it was too early in the night to reveal how things really were and more importantly how they were going to be. Getting close enough, he asked coyly: “Prithee, …Sir…, can I join you?” and accompanied his question with the most innocent expression from his repertoire of trickery.
